(2 / 5) – Meh…
I’ll be short, sweet and to the point on this one, I loved the premise and it had such potential. The execution was simply lacking. I left the last page very much, “meh…” and longing to have even liked or connected to a single character. Richard Osman tried his hand and in my opinion came up lacking. It wasn’t good, it wasn’t bad, it was simply, meh…
If you read it, I hope you enjoy it, but as far as a recommendation I say, use your time with a different book. There are so many good and even great ones out there.
The Book War did a Biblio Talk on this book specifically so if you want more in-depth conversation around the book’s premise and what we considered shortcomings you can find that below.
Happy Reading!
