FALL 2022
Greetings!
Every fall, once school is back in full-swing and the weather is beginning to get cool and crisp, I find myself getting excited for my spooky, dark, Gothic reading TBR list! Basically, every September, October, and honestly, most of November, I am knee-deep in a stack of scary and ghostly books that vary from the classics like Mary Shelly’s, Frankenstien and Bram Stoker’s, Dracula to modern gothic writers such as Silvia Moreno-Garcia with Mexican Gothic and Laura Purcell with The Silent Companions. I love setting a mood with my reading and what’s better than curling up with a creepy book on a ‘dark and stormy night’?!
Most years, I will re-read a few of my favorites while incorporating some new stories into my repertoire. Later this month, I will post a Gothic Favorites book list on TheBookWar.com so be sure to check back if you’re interested in reading some excellent and spooky literature this fall season. Trust me, it’s a fantastic way to get into the Halloween mood and enjoy the changing of the seasons!
Read on my friends!
